Former Kwara Senator Rafiu Ibrahim has passed away. Former Kwara Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, aged 57, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed shock and profound sadness at the news. Extending heartfelt condolences to Ibrahim’s family, the people of Ojoku in the Oyun Local Government Area, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, AbdulRazaq said “this shocking development again reminds everyone of the inevitability of death for all human beings and the fact that it could come unannounced for anyone”.
The governor offered prayers to Allah, beseeching Him to grant Senator Rafiu Ibrahim entry into al-Jannah Firdaus, the highest paradise in Islamic belief, and to provide solace to his grieving family members, political associates, and followers during this difficult time.

In accordance with Islamic customs, the late senator’s final rites will take place 17th April 2024 (Wednesday), with his burial scheduled to be held at the Muslim cemetery in Ilorin.
This solemn occasion will serve as a final farewell to a respected leader and a cherished member of the community.
Friends, colleagues, and well-wishers gather to pay their last respects and bid farewell to Senator Ibrahim.
