Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that no force in the world could prevent Israel’s military invasion of Rafah.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that the IDF will proceed with an advance into Rafah, asserting that “no force in the world” can halt the imminent invasion of the Gazan city, which currently shelters approximately 1.4 million displaced Palestinians.
Netanyahu made these remarks while addressing new IDF recruits, affirming Israel’s determination to eliminate Hamas.
Despite mounting pressure from the United States and European leaders urging against an invasion of Rafah without a sufficient civilian evacuation plan, Netanyahu remains steadfast in his stance.
“We will complete the elimination of the Hamas battalions, including in Rafah,” Netanyahu said.
Israel asserts that Rafah serves as the operational base for four of the remaining six battalions of Hamas, with additional support from other Palestinian militant factions.
“There is no force in the world that will stop us,” he added. “Many forces are trying to do this, but it will not help, because this enemy, after what it has done, will not do it again. It will cease to exist.”
The Israeli prime minister emphasized that Israel’s top priority remains the safe return of all hostages still held by Hamas since the October 7 attack.
The status of the remaining 133 hostages is uncertain, with at least five of them being US citizens.
Netanyahu’s apparent warning comes just a day after he mentioned a scheduled date for the incursion into Rafah.
The US has advised Netanyahu that a comprehensive plan must be established to evacuate civilians from Rafah before the IDF commences its operation in the city.
