Omobayo has been inaugurated as the Deputy Governor of Edo State.
Omobayo Godwin has officially assumed the position of Deputy Governor of Edo State.
This follows the impeachment of Philip Shaibu by the state House of Assembly.
Governor Godwin Obaseki nominated Omobayo, aged 37, as his new Deputy shortly after Shaibu’s impeachment.
Omobayo was sworn in at approximately 1:40 pm on Monday by Edo Chief Judge Justice Daniel Okungbowa. The ceremony took place at the Edo State Government House in Benin City.
