The Nigerian military will release 200 detainees who have been cleared of any association with Boko Haram.

The Nigerian army will release 200 detainees who have been cleared of any affiliation with Boko Haram.

These detainees, who were apprehended by the military during various raids amid the insurgency, will be transferred to the Borno State Government for proper reintegration into society.

The State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Zuwaira Gambo, along with her counterpart in Information and Internal Security, Prof Tar Umar, will oversee the reception of these cleared detainees on behalf of the state government.
