The Nigeria Police Force expresses deep sorrow over the loss of officers in an ambush in Delta State.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) mourns the loss of six officers in a cowardly ambush by armed assailants during a mission in Ohoro Forest, Delta State.
Six others are missing. The NPF plans to honor the fallen officers, with Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun ordering immediate payment of their entitlements to their families.
The deceased include Inspector Abe Olubunmi, Inspector Friday Irorere, Sergeant Kuden Elisha, Sergeant Akpan Aniette, Sergeant Ayere Paul, and Sergeant Ejemito Friday.
Officers missing in action are Inspector Onoja Daniel, Inspector Onogho Felix, Inspector Emmanuel Okoroafor, Inspector Joel Hamidu, Sergeant Moses Eduvie, and Sergeant Cyril Okorie.
Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
