FIFA RANKINGS: The Super Falcons drop two places in the most recent FIFA ranking.
In the latest FIFA women’s world ranking, the Super Falcons of Nigeria have fallen two places. FIFA unveiled the initial women’s ranking for 2024 on its official website on Friday, March 15.
Despite their descent in the global rankings from 32nd to 34th, the Super Falcons continue to maintain their lead position in Africa.
Spain, the reigning world champions, retain their top spot in the global rankings.
Following Nigeria’s drop, Banyana Banyana of South Africa, the reigning African champions, climbed one place in the world rankings to secure the second position on the continent, ranking 51st globally.
Morocco holds the third position in Africa and occupies the 58th spot in the world rankings. Meanwhile, the Copper Queens of Zambia have made significant progress, advancing five spots to claim the 65th position in the world.
